A rebuildable dripping atomizer, or an RDA for short, is a kind of vape that’s different from the one you normally find in the market. It’s used for dripping, a form of vaping where the vape liquid is directly dripped onto the heating coils of the atomizer instead of being stored in the tank.
Here, we look at the VandyVape Rath RDA, a single coil RDA; however, a dual coil configuration might also be possible.

VandyVape Rath RDA Description
The barrel comes with an array of two honeycomb style air intake holes. The air can be adjusted by spinning the top cap. The top cap itself acts as an 810 drip tip; however, the bag of parts in the packing comes with an 810 to 510 drip tip adapter with an aesthetic resin tip.
You can also use it as a bottom feeder by removing the two stock pins for the positive terminal at the bottom and installing the bottom-feeding pin provided in the packaging. Note that it requires an Allen key to screw in place, which should also come with the spare parts.
VandyVape Rath RDA Insight
The stainless steel body ensures that you get a high-quality and durable RDA. Plus, it ensures that there is adequate sealing between the top cap of the barrel and the barrel’s body, preventing air ingress from these points.
The top cap’s air holes are not aligned with where the coils get placed on the build deck; however, their angle of attack is inclined downwards so that air flows down to the wick.
The clamping style posts with ceramic clamps and screws for adjusting and tightening the coils. You can’t change the style of the posts as the screws and clamps come as a single unit.
The top cap is dome-shaped from the inside with thick walls. As a result, it doesn’t leave much space for building a 2-coil configuration. In addition, the clamp posts terminals have slots for accepting another coil; however, each post is a single terminal (positive or negative), meaning the second coil must sit on top of the other coil in order to get a two coil configuration. If installed incorrectly, the two coils may short out. In that case, it’s best to stick with a single-coil construction.
